chance series - inspired by i ching
In exploring the idea of chance art, I made an alternate alphabet from symbols. Using a 26-sided die, I randomly chose symbols for each letter. I then made wood blocks of the symbols from laser-cut laminated wood, which were printed in relief. Letterpress printed text and hand-drawn images. This book was meant to be a guide to the symbols and reminiscent of a childrens book.
